Give the gift of art: Entrance tickets are also available in the form of gift vouchers. These are available directly at the front-desk!
As a non-profit museum, we rely on admission fees for funding. We therefore kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot accept the Ö1 card, Salzburg Card or other membership cards.
Important information for journalists
If you are reporting on a current exhibition, event, or any museum-related topic, we are happy to offer you free admission. Please present a valid press ID at the ticket desk and let us know which media outlet you represent. Thank you! As a non-profit museum, we rely largely on admission fees to support our work. We kindly ask for your understanding that we are unable to grant discounts for Ö1 Club Cards, Salzburg Cards, or other membership programs.
From May 20 to July 10, 2025, members of the Austrian Pensioners’ Association receive a reduced admission fee of €8 (instead of €12) every Tuesday.
Guided Tours
Our guided tours focus on selected works and stories from the current exhibition.
Public guided tours: Guided tour every Saturday at 11 AM (from July 19 to August 30 also at 3 PM) – prior registration required, duration approx. 30 minutes, in German

If the tour is cancelled the day before or on the same day, we will charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the tour fee (€65). We kindly ask for your understanding.
School classes: On request (up to a maximum of 25 people, Grades 9 – 12), duration approx. 1 hour, in English or German, 3.50 euros per child and 8.00 euros per chaperones and teachers
The Museum is located on the first floor and also has a lift to ensure accessibility.

Filming and photography without a flashlight and tripod are allowed for private use only. Photography for political and scientific reasons as well as the distribution of the imagery on the Internet are subject to permission.
Our museum is located in a pedestrian zone and there are public parking lots, as well as garages in the immediate vicinity.
Using public transport
You can take any one of buses Nos. 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 14, 20, 25 or 28 to the stop “Rathaus”. Then walk across the Alter Markt, turning right at the Café Tomaselli and left into the Sigmund-Haffner-Gasse. The Museum is several metres further on, to your right. The exhibition space is on the first upper floor. It takes around five minutes to walk from the bus stop.
By car
Park your car in the Altstadtgarage B in the Mönchsberg. Take the Toscaninihof exit, go through the Toscaninihof itself, then turn right into Franziskanergasse. Then take the first left into the Sigmund-Haffner-Gasse, where you will find the Museum on your left, after about 100 metres. The exhibition space is on the first upper floor. It takes some ten minutes to walk from the car park.
