The artists of the Lost Generation were ahead of their time, which is why, like so many others in the arts, they were oppressed, persecuted or even murdered by the National Socialist regime. As a result, unique personalities and their artworks have been excluded and forgotten in the course of history.
With the exhibition “With brush and paint against time. New Works from the Böhme Collection”, the Museum Art of the Lost Generation aims to highlight the oeures of these artists who found no regognition during their lifetime. Discover the expressive works of a remarkable generation who despite being labelled “degenerate”, nevertheless assiduously went on to make their own contribution to cultural history.
